Street Art
It was on the street that Solas Art was born. In the early years public squares streets and spaces were the canvas upon which we created.
Manifesting mandalas in public spaces is a very unique experience indeed. It has the effect of changing completely the energy of a public place. Where ordinarily people parade to and from work or go shopping in a near trance like state, a mandala placed along the way literally can stop people in their tracks.
The street offers the greatest exposure for the symbols we wish to share with the world. Creating here offers us access to the greatest number of people possible.
Very often people will stop and enquire as to what we are doing. It is this interaction with the community that holds the greatest value for us. Working on the street with a unique artform like mandala gives one access to people that is of a particular depth and cuts cleanly through the social spectrum.
