Rehabilitation
Primarily drawing on our experiences from working on the street we have confidence in the healing potential of mandala for people choosing to change their patterns of attachment or addiction.
The concept and sensation of moving towards wholeness can be a powerful aid on the recovery journey. Whether it is allowing people simply be themselves facilitating the growth of self confidence or empowering individuals; the mandala offers a safe space where people can engage fully with whatever is going on for them.
Impermanence is a dominant theme in our work. This is expressed in the powerful ‘letting go’ contained in the act of breaking down each piece shortly after completion. This freedom from ‘holding on to’ or having to ‘own’ the work is liberating. This has become a metaphor underscoring the freedom that accompanies unlocking ingrained patterns of attachment and addiction.
We aspire to work with rehabilitation centres and services that see a value in the healing potential of Solas Art mandalas.
