Dean Mulroy is the creator and founder of Solas Art. He has traveled across the earth in search of organic natural materials. Sea shells, crystals, woods, pine cones, coral and stone are but the beginning of the material portfolio Dean aspires to work with. His modest demeanor claims he is but the caretaker of these materials and that in essence they simply present themselves. The awe inspiring quality of his work and the captivating nature of each mandala make you think otherwise. Dean has created mandalas across Europe exhibiting to a vast cross section of society. Healing intent underpins each mandala he creates and his generosity of spirit invites people to observe, participate and share in this wonderful gift.
Family: It would be wonderful to know the actual hand count of individual people who have entered into a Solas Art circle. It is an impossible figure to attain but a guess would put it well into to the couple of thousands. It is this family of friends over the last 15 years that have added energy and input into the work. These friends are a most welcome and essential ingredient for the Solas Art Journey. Some people pass by and place one single material; other friends have made hundreds of mandalas and form the backbone of Solas Art. These friendships are sacred and held in a spirit of sincere gratitude and thanks for what is without a doubt the greatest fruit generated by these mandalas.
