Commissioned Pieces
A large proportion of Solas Art mandalas are commissioned pieces. They can become a focal point for meetings; simply add colour to an event or include a symbol in the theme of a specific organisation or festival.
Dublin City Council, Earth Day, Cultivate, Tipperary and Laois Co. Councils are amongst some of the Irish organisations booking our work. The mandala has proved to be a very unique addition that stands out at any event.
For the recent Viking festival at Woodquay, Dublin (June 2008) we were asked to create a piece involving a Viking symbol. We chose the valknut (click to view pic).
When appropriate we encourage involvement in constructing commissioned pieces, especially involving children at family day events who find the mandala fun and love to be involved.
